The French Society of Nutrition and the French Federation of Nutrition
in collaboration with the Federation of European Nutrition Societies (FENS) and the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS), are hosting the 23rd International Congress of Nutrition (ICN) from 24 to 29 August 2025, at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.
Centered on the theme “Sustainable Food for Global Health,” this global event will explore the nexus between climate change, sustainability, food, global health and nutrition.

The nutrition-sensitive food environment index: a comprehensive approach to assessing food environments in association with health risks for policy decision-making

Senior Researcher ConsultantShort oral presentation in the session Public Health and Nutrition throughout the Life Cycle. This presentation will introduce the nutrition-sensitive food environment index, a novel tool to comprehensively measure how food environments impact diet quality and related health risks. Developed to support decision-makers, the index helps identify priority areas for action by integrating data across multiple food environment dimensions. The tool has been featured in the Journal of Sustainability and spotlighted by CGIAR and the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT.
