Irmgard Jordan

Dr. Irmgard Jordan received her PhD in nutrition and home economic sciences from the Justus Liebig University of Giessen in 2012. Since then, she has led various research projects on food and nutrition security at the Institute of Nutritional Sciences and later at the Center for International Development and Environmental Research (ZEU) at the Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany. As Senior Scientist, she also led the working group on international nutrition at ZEU. Since October 2021, Irmgard continues her research activities as a CIM expert for the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT in Nairobi, Kenya. She is particularly interested in identifying barriers and facilitating factors for behavior change in resource-poor settings. Her focus is on identifying strategies and innovations for developing sustainable food systems to achieve food and nutrition security for all.
