Science + Collaboration = Scalable Impact - Annual Report 2025 - Introduction

We use a range of channels to raise the visibility of the Alliance’s work at global, regional, national, and local levels. From social media collaborations with UN Biodiversity to Francophone news coverage in West Africa, we are committed to sharing innovations and evidence with diverse audiences. We were also present in high-level events throughout 2025 to further amplify the reach of our work.

Media coverage in Latin America included 330 mentions in local, national, and international media. Five topics stood out for high-impact coverage in Spanish, English and Portuguese:

Honduras' first exported container of coffee that would be compliant with Europe’s anti-deforestation laws, using open-source technology.

A women-led startup on Colombia’s Pacific coast; the startup received training and support through the Alliance’s Accelerate for Impact Platform.

512 media mentions covered initiatives and innovations including My Farm Trees in Kenya and Cameroon, agrobiodiversity policy implementation in Kenyan counties, and events such as CGIAR science week. With expanding media coverage in West Africa, our media reach across the region grew to approximately 212 million readers, which is an 115% increase from the previous year.
