Christian Bunn

My work is to scale adaptation to climate change through interventions in coffee and cocoa value chains. We combine quantitative climate data analysis with participatory and qualitative research to make climate impact assessments actionable to support actors in the cocoa and coffee sectors in their decisions to adapt to climate change. We seek to combine climate impact assessments with business models of value chain actors and to develop actor and site-specific solutions that are readily scalable.
I hold a PhD from Humboldt University Berlin and have more than ten years' experience working in Latin America, Africa and Asia with the Alliance.
