BIUSA (SALL FAMILY) - Unrestricted Future Seeds Program and PABRA 

Provides unrestricted support to Future Seeds and PABRA for strengthening crop biodiversity and breeding

DJIBOUTI -IGAD (AFDB) Digital advisory services under BREFONS 

 BREFONS’s principal goal is to build resilience to food and nutrition insecurity in the project intervention areas in the Horn of Africa

CANADA GAC - BRAINS 

The BRAINS Project aims to transform agriculture in 15 African countries by integrating beans, beneficial insects, and fruit trees like mangoes, citrus, and avocados, promoting low-carbon practices, and enhancing climate resilience, particularly among women and youth farmers through climate-smart technologies.   

WB IDA - AICCRA  

AICCRA (Accelerating Impacts of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa) is a major initiative designed to scale climate-smart agriculture (CSA) and climate information services (CIS) for millions of smallholder farmers across Africa.   

GERMANY GIZ - SSHI Phase III 

The Supporting Soil Health Interventions (SSHI-3) project improves soil health and agricultural productivity through better data governance, innovative soil management solutions, and AI-powered fertilizer recommendations.  

BI (ITALY) - Integrated Soils and Opportunity Crops Initiative 

The Italy-funded Integrated Soils and Opportunity Crops Value Chain Development Initiative for East Africa is a Vision for Adapted Crops and Soils project. As part of the global VACS initiative, it promotes climate-adapted nutritious crops and healthy soils to enhance food security, address climate change and land degradation, and strengthen sustainable agricultural productivity in East Africa.

GERMANY GIZ - DIGITAL II 

The project develops infrastructures for global interoperability to transform agricultural livelihoods. 

BIOVISION - Vihiga County Agroecology 

The team accelerates agroecological transitions in Vihiga County. It responds to challenges in food insecurity, declining soil health, biodiversity loss, and agricultural productivity.   

BMGF SGP Adaptation insights 

The project increases the availability, quality, and use of data on climate adaptation in Africa to boost investment and accelerate action.   

CIAT I&P NORAD FASA 

The CIAT I&P FASA (Financing for Agricultural SMEs in Africa) is a multi-donor fund managed by Investisseurs & Partenaires to bridge a $100 billion financing gap for African agri-SMEs. 

JAPAN MOFA - Community PGR use and underutilized crops 

The project promotes the use of plant genetic resources and underutilized crops to support poverty reduction and sustainable growth in developing countries. 

Rockefeller Foundation Regenerative School Nutrition 

The Rockefeller Foundation's Regenerative School Nutrition initiative aims to transform public school feeding into an engine for nutrition, climate resilience, and rural livelihoods. 

GERMANY GIZ Sustainable Finance 

The initiative institutionalizes sustainable finance practices within CGIAR. 

BMGF Market Intelligence 

The Enabling Market Intelligence and Building Engagement (EMBE) project addresses critical information and service delivery gaps in Kenya that limit farmers’ ability to access and adopt climate adaptation solutions.

The project improves monitoring and evaluation of nature-based solutions in Kenya 

WRI Denmark MOFA Warehouse Receipt System 

The Building Resilience of Farmers Through Warehouse Receipt System in Kenya project aims to increase food security by reducing post-harvest losses through a Warehouse Receipt System coupled with financial inclusion and the promotion of climate-smart agriculture. 

WFP LTA Global Research Services 

The initiative supports global research services for HDP nexus programming. 

GCF Readiness Programme LTA 

The GCF Readiness Programme under the Long-Term Agreement (LTA) is designed to support countries in strengthening their institutional capacities, governance mechanisms, and planning frameworks for climate action. 

GCF PPF LTA 

The Project Preparation Facility (PPF) of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) provides financial and technical support to developing countries to prepare high-quality project proposals for climate finance. 

WB IDA Geospatial NBS Prioritization 

The project develops geospatial methods to prioritize nature based solutions. 

Australia ACIAR Bean Corridor 

The  PABRA Academy is a capacity-building initiative of the Pan-Africa Bean Research Alliance (PABRA) aimed at addressing identified capacity building gaps of partners along the bean value chain. 

CANADA GAC BEANS4WOMEN 

Beans for Women for Empowerment (B4WE) project seeks to improve the entire beans value chain by providing rural women with resources, training, and social support to transform their lives and uplift their communities.   

BMGF Breakthrough Bean and Cassava Products 

The project supports inception work on innovative bean and cassava products. 

IITA TAAT II 

The project advances technologies for African agricultural transformation.

LIVESys (Catalyzing Transformation towards Sustainable Livestock Systems) is a global project (2024–2028) funded by BMZ, supporting sustainable livestock development in Africa and Latin America. Implemented by GIZ with partners including AU-IBAR, ILRI, the Alliance of Bioversity and CIAT, and WWF.

The project advances gender-responsive digital climate advisory services. 

UNDP Climate Risk Integration 

The initiative strengthens financial institutions' capacity to integrate climate risks.

The project advances innovation in sustainability, policy and climate resilience.

UNITED KINGDOM MET OFFICE ECREA 

Enhancing Climate Resilience in East Africa (ECREA) is a collaborative initiative focused on strengthening climate resilience through innovative research, policy interventions, and community-driven solutions. 

IDRC Regenerative Agriculture Footprint 

The project establishes a baseline on regenerative agriculture/agroecology in nine countries in East and Southern Africa. 

IDRC ACIAR Beannovate 

The project scales pre-cooked bean innovations in Kenya and Uganda.

IFAD Climate Change Adaptation Studies 

The initiative supports design of climate change adaptation projects. 

FAO Open Source Seed Systems 

The project enables open-source seed systems for climate adaptation crops. 

McKnight Climate Data Integration 

The project improves climate data integration in agroecological research. 

BMGF 1000 Farms Platform 

The platform implements an Africa-wide network for on-farm variety testing that is digitally supported to provide vital performance data and farmer feedback. 

IDH Growing Together 

The project strengthens food security and communities through markets and data. 

BMGF Artemis II 

The Artemis project transforms how crop traits are measured by replacing manual scoring with artificial intelligence (AI) tools that work on smartphones.
