The Alliance at the 54th Plenary Session of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS 54)
The 54th Plenary Session of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS 54) will take place in Rome from 19 to 23 October 2026. Bringing together governments, civil society, researchers, and community leaders, the session will provide a global platform to advance collective efforts to end hunger and malnutrition and promote resilient, equitable, and sustainable food systems.
As part of the CFS Multi-Year Programme of Work (MYPoW) 2024–2027, this year’s session will place particular emphasis on empowering smallholders and family farmers to strengthen sustainable food systems and achieve food security and nutrition. Discussions will also address key priorities, including the state of global food security and nutrition, resilience in the face of global and climate-related crises, digital innovation and artificial intelligence in agriculture, the preservation of Indigenous and traditional food systems, and the future strategic direction of the CFS beyond 2030.
Together with its partners, the Alliance will contribute to advancing evidence-based policies, showcasing scientific innovation, and fostering collaboration across sectors and regions.
