Pedro Anglaze Chilambe

Pedro Chilambe, a Researcher on Climate finance and Co-leads Global Finance and Investments Research Area at the Alliance of Bioversity International & International Centre for Tropical Agriculture's Climate action lever, currently leads work on climate finance and agricultural risk management. With a focus on strategic project design, execution, and partnership development. His prior role as a Climate Finance Specialist involved leading agricultural risk assessments and developing climate finance mechanisms to support locally led climate action, notably also supporting the development of decision support tools for Angola and working on the World Bank's Madagascar CCDR agriculture sector analysis. At the United Nations World Food Programme in Mozambique, Chilambe led implementation of climate adaptation projects' including the development of a resilience and adaptation based results framework, supported the securing of vital funding, and lead the R4 Rural resilience initiative portfolio in the country. Before his international development career, he was a Strategy Consultant for Millennium Bim in Mozambique, where he fostered financial inclusion and digital banking innovations. Chilambe's academic credentials, including a Master of Social Science from Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Petronas.
