Brief description
By linking climate information with financial and advisory services, we empower smallholder farmers in Uganda and Zambia to better manage climate risks, boost productivity, and secure sustainable livelihoods.
Key activities
The project is implemented through four interconnected components:
- Inform: Expanding the use of farmer-generated data and localized climate information to deliver timely weather, market, and advisory services.
- Bundle: Designing and delivering integrated financial and agro-advisory products, such as credit, savings, and insurance, tailored to farmers’ needs and capacities.
- Stimulate: Strengthening public–private partnerships among financial institutions, insurers, agribusinesses, and government agencies to increase access and adoption of risk management tools.
- Learn: Capturing lessons, measuring impact, and sharing knowledge to inform policy and scale successful models across Uganda and Zambia.
