Landing big ideas in agtech: The Alliance at the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit in San Francisco

The Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT will join the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit in San Francisco as an 'innovation partner' on March 17–18.
This global innovation platform convenes more than 1,700 actors - including agribusinesses, technology companies, food brands, investment funds, startup, farmers and policymakers to accelerate the development and scaling of agri-food technologies.
This year’s theme - 'landing big ideas in agtech' - focuses on how breakthrough technologies, new innovation models and R&D partnerships are accelerating the transformation of global food systems. The summit provides a strategic space for the Alliance to reinforce engagement with key partners while catalyzing the connections between innovation, scalable food system solutions and investment.
This focus strongly aligns with the work of the Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP). A4IP serves as a venture-building space that leverages the Alliance and CGIAR’s legacy in research and innovation to co-design, accelerate and de-risk the development and deployment of science-based, technology-driven solutions for sustainable agriculture and climate action. The platform pioneers entrepreneurial pathways to bring research outputs from lab to market, strengthen demand for CGIAR science, and enhance its role within global innovation ecosystems.
