A4IP 2024 Year in Review: Bolstering the global Agri-Tech ecosystem

Rome, 31 March 2025 – The wait is now over. The CGIAR Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP) team releases the 2024 Year in Review and celebrates results and impact.

Over the past four years, the Accelerate for Impact Platform has trained over 300 innovation teams through 19 global innovation challenges, either led or partnered. The 2024 Year in Review put the past 12 months into perspective, showcasing key activities, outcomes, and innovations that tested and scaled new ways to sustainably transform our food systems. The review highlights three In Focus themes: 'From Scouting to Scaling,' 'From Publication to Policy,' and 'From Engagement to Enablement.' It also shines spotlight on the innovators, CGIAR research centers, agribusinesses, and industry partners which supported us in driving change across the AgriTech ecosystem.

“Global challenges affecting sustainability of agriculture and food systems, such as food insecurity, malnutrition, climate change, and land degradation [...], require transdisciplinary knowledge, collaboration, and entrepreneurial thinking to produce science-based, applicable solutions that can enhance sustainability of agriculture, quantity and quality of food, and equitable development. In this context at the Alliance, the CGIAR Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP) continues to play a key role in pioneering new models that accelerate, and de-risk the development and deployment of science-based solutions for sustainable agriculture and food systems.”
