This session will highlight how soil health monitoring, evidence-based implementation, policy coherence, and inclusive investment in sustainable soil management practices can drive integrated, sustainable food systems. It brings together diverse food systems actors to share solutions, scale partnerships, and mobilize financing and action for healthy and living soil and resilient landscapes.

This side-event will showcase how livestock drives Sub-Saharan Africa food systems transformation through country-led strategies. Launch a multi-country platform to mobilize investment and innovation for resilient, inclusive systems.

To address the triple crises of climate change, biodiversity loss and desertification, countries must pursue ambitious food systems transformation pathways that are synergistic, well-financed and cost-effective. Multistakeholder Approaches (MSAs) can offer a powerful mechanism to provide a governance infrastructure for joint planning, decision-making and accountability, while also helping to shape integrated financing strategies. Through the lens of six examples, this side event will highlight the potential of MSAs to align cross-sectoral efforts in support of sustainable, inclusive, and resilient food systems, while advancing ambitions on climate, biodiversity, and land.

This session, hosted by the World Economic Forum, will focus on strategies to mobilize private sector investments, implement market-based solutions, and elevate the transformative potential of data and technologies such as artificial intelligence for agrifood systems, emphasizing their capacity to optimize productivity and improve quality.

This ministerial Roundtable which will focus on the theme "Food Sovereignty: Exploring National Approaches to Accelerate Food Systems Transition." 

In light of increasingly pressing global challenges - from climate change to economic instability to growing geopolitical tensions - it is crucial to rethink agriculture and food systems, placing local and national production capacities, traditional knowledge, sustainable agricultural practices, social equity, and climate resilience at the center.

This session represents an important opportunity to discuss the recognition of the right to food sovereignty and reaffirm its catalytic role in economic, social, and environmental development, as a key lever for accelerating the transformation of food systems.

The discussion will also focus on identifying shared priorities and building common strategies to promote sovereign, resilient, and inclusive food systems, encouraging the creation of partnerships and collaborative networks to support advocacy, policies, and investments.
