Kalkidan Ayele Mulatu

I am a researcher contributing to the implementation and monitoring of climate change mitigation and adaptation actions - specifically in the forestry and agriculture sectors.
Having a background in remote sensing and GIS (PhD), since joining the Alliance in March 2020, I have been working on several projects spanning from the tracking of global progress towards climate change commitments, to the application of near real time forest monitoring systems in the last remaining forests of Ethiopia.
Currently, I am managing the development of agricultural solutions related to forage-based livestock production system and land rehabilitation in Ethiopia. I am interested to continue contributing to the design and implementation of developmental projects (in the forestry and agriculture sector) with societal impacts in developing countries.
