Susan Ajambo

Susan Ajambo is the Country Representative for Uganda and an Associate Scientist in the Policy, Inclusion and Socio-Economic Analysis for Impact and Learning (PISA) Program at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT. She is a social scientist with over 10 years of experience in agricultural Research for Development (R4D), specializing in advancing social inclusion across a range of thematic areas, including agri-food value chains, crop pest and disease management, seed systems, particularly for vegetatively propagated crops, and, more recently, digital agriculture.

Susan has a strong theoretical and methodological foundation in research design, with expertise in gender and social inclusion. Her work focuses on generating evidence that informs policies, programs, and interventions to promote more inclusive and resilient food systems. She has an established and growing record of publishing impactful research in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to evidence-based solutions for sustainable agricultural development.
