Sandra Guisela Durango Morales

Sandra Guisela Durango Morales, PhD, is a scientist at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT within the Multifunctional Landscapes lever (sublever Low Emission). She leads the development and adoption of the MRV system for deforestation-free chains in Colombia (cocoa, coffee, palm, milk and meat), articulating farm traceability, accessible verification and alignment with the NDC and national standards. With more than 10 years of experience in sustainable animal production, silvopastoralism and GHG quantification, he drives data-driven solutions to reduce emissions and deforestation risks, and coordinates partnerships with ministries, companies and territories. His work combines technical innovation, public policy and capacity building of technicians and producers to scale regenerative practices and transparent reporting of climate results.
