Anton Eitzinger

Anton Eitzinger is a geospatial analyst and climate change scientist with a Doctor Philosophiae in GeoSciences from the University of Munich (LMU), Germany. He serves as a researcher and thematic leader for digital tools for climate action at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT. Anton’s work bridges geospatial science, digital innovation, and participatory research to advance farmer-centric climate action. He leads the development of digital platforms that enhance smallholder resilience, including MyFarmTrees, a community-based landscape restoration initiative integrating digital tree tracking, incentive systems, and blockchain verification to strengthen both ecological integrity and financial inclusion. Committed to interdisciplinary, adaptive approaches, Anton works closely with partners across sectors to co-design scalable, data-driven solutions for sustainable agriculture and climate resilience.
