From Space to Village: Harnessing geospatial information for improved environmental decision-making in the Amazon
In partnership with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and USAID, the Alliance developed and is managing the unique Consortium SERVIR-Amazonia that brings together local knowledge and some of the world’s best science in geospatial and Earth Observation technology in 6 countries (Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Guyana, Suriname).
The Program works with regional partners to tailor decision-support services that prevent natural disasters, mitigate climate change and prevent deforestation in the Amazon basin.
