Demo day "Sustainable Cocoa Innovation Challenge"
We welcome the Demo Day of the "Sustainable Cocoa Innovation Challenge"!
The 10 startups that have participated in the "Sustainable Cocoa Innovation Challenge" acceleration program are now on the final step of a two-month acceleration journey, through which they are enhancing their capabilities and paving the path for further growth.
On the awaited “Demo Day”, we will unveil the winners of the challenge, while bringing together a mix of entrepreneurs, cocoa industry experts, investors, representatives from embassies, and the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.
Prior to the climactic moment of announcing the challenge's victors, a series of conferences will set the stage, delving into the AgriTech ecosystem and the realm of green business.
Selected innovators will have a limited time to captivate the audience with their ideas, business models, and the remarkable potential they hold for the Colombian cocoa industry. Following their presentations, a rigorous Q&A session will allow the selection committee to dive deep into the startups' visions, strategies, and transformative potential.
The final stage of the "Sustainable Cocoa Innovation Challenge" promises to be an event of innovation, inspiration, and anticipation, where we look forward to celebrating the impressive accomplishments of these dynamic entrepreneurs. The Sustainable Cocoa Innovation Challenge for Colombia is a collaboration between CGIAR research initiatives AgriLAC Resiliente and Mitigate+ and the project “Implementing Sustainable Agricultural and Livestock Systems for Simultaneous Targeting of Forest Conservation for Climate Change Mitigation (REDD+) and Peacebuilding in Colombia” otherwise known as the IKI-SLUS Project.
The CGIAR Accelerate for Impact Platform, in collaboration with Rockstart, powers this innovation challenge with the aim of providing know-how and network to entrepreneurs in Latin America who are working to ensure the cocoa industry contributes to climate change mitigation and peacebuilding.
