The Alliance at the Africa Food Systems Forum 2024

The Africa Food Systems Forum (AFS Forum) is set to take place from 2 to 6 September 2024 in Kigali, Rwanda. Organized by AGRA, with the support of the Republic of Rwanda and other partners, this annual summit will convene global leaders, investors, academics, farmers' organizations, and the private sector to showcase innovations, best practices, and strategic investments essential for accelerating food systems transformation across Africa, with a special emphasis on empowering youth and women as key drivers of change.

This year’s theme, "Innovate, Accelerate and Scale: Delivering Food Systems Transformation in a Digital and Climate Era," underscores the importance of leveraging technology and investments to foster innovative, inclusive, and sustainable food systems.

The Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT will actively contribute to the Forum through various activities, including:
