Thierry Tran

Dr. Thierry Tran is a Researcher in Food Technology with CIRAD (International Center for Agricultural Research and Development, France), and CIAT (Centro Internacional para la Agricultura Tropical, Cali, Colombia).
He has 18 years of experience in Cassava processing technologies and in Quality of cassava-based products, including improving energy and water efficiency, reducing losses and utilization of by-products. During that time he has worked for 8 years at Kasetsart University (Bangkok, Thailand), contributing to research on large-scale cassava starch production.
Since 2016 he leads the research activities on post-harvest quality and processing within the Cassava Program at CIAT. Dr. Thierry Tran completed a PhD in Food Science and Technology from the University of Nottingham (UK) in 2003.
