Sakile Kudita

Sakile Kudita is an agriculture, food systems, and nutrition professional with more than 20 years of experience in agricultural research, innovation scaling, seed systems development, market development, value chain strengthening, and nutrition-sensitive agriculture. As Team Leader and Country Representative for Zimbabwe, she leads the Alliance's work to strengthen resilient, inclusive, and market-oriented agrifood systems through strategic partnerships, research-for-development, and the scaling and commercialization of innovations that improve productivity, nutrition, livelihoods, and climate resilience.

Her work focuses on connecting research, policy, markets, and farming communities to accelerate the adoption, market development, and commercialization of agricultural innovations that contribute to sustainable food systems transformation. She has worked extensively with government, development partners, research institutions, the private sector, and farmer organizations to advance agricultural development and food systems resilience in Zimbabwe. Sakile is currently completing a multidisciplinary PhD at Wageningen University and Research. She holds an MBA, an MSc in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, and a BSc (Hons) in Crop Science.
