Megan Steele Former staff
Megan Steele is Project Coordinator I, Innovation Ecosystem Engagement in the CGIAR Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP) team at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, based in Rome.
In this position, she supports scientists and entrepreneurs in translating research into scalable solutions by coordinating accelerator programs, fostering strategic partnerships, and organizing high-impact innovation events: such as RAMP – Research and Market Pathways, an internal accelerator helping CGIAR-led innovations reach market readiness; the Venture-Out Events series, seminars connecting researchers with startups and investors to spark scientific entrepreneurship; and other global engagement activities, including CGIAR’s presence at international industry events like the World AgriTech Innovation Summits. Originally from the Washington D.C. area, Megan holds a degree in International Relations from The College of William & Mary. Prior to joining the Alliance, she worked as a Senior Research Assistant at AidData.
