Martina Melchiori

Martina is a Senior Impact Officer at CGIAR Hub for Sustainable Finance (Impact SF), where she collaborates with impact investment fund managers to develop resilient theories of change and Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) systems. She brings a strong background in impact and ESG strategy consulting, having previously served as a Senior Associate at the sustainability advisory firm Anthesis. There, she supported development finance institutions, family offices, and private equity funds in shaping their impact and ESG frameworks and ensuring alignment with evolving sustainability regulations, including SFDR and CSRD. Martina began her career in due diligence, with a focus on impact, ESG, and reputational assessments. She holds a Master’s degree with distinction from the London School of Economics, specializing in the political economy of transition economies, and a Bachelor's degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from the University of Trieste. Originally from a small town in the Italian countryside, Martina lived in Paris and London and is now based in Milan.
