Keyu Bai
Keyu Bai, a Chinese national, joined Bioversity International in 2004. Her achievements have including developing the research work on optimizing the use of biodiversity for improving the resilience and sustainability of farming and pastoral ecosystem in China and leading national partners in research on linking diversity to poverty in the Asia Pacific Oceania region with a focus on combining GIS with socio-economic analysis to promote biodiversity for livelihoods improvement.
She is dedicated to promoting the use of biodiversity to increase ecosystem services within the agriculture landscape and has led the development of a web based GIS system to manage the pest and disease and diversity.
After receiving her PhD in ecology in 1998, Keyu worked in the field of agriculture resources management, especially on ecological restoration. Since 1998, she worked in the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences as Associate professor.
