Diana Katherine Quintero Cano

Diana Katherine Quintero Cano is an economist with experience in the identification, design, and implementation of learning and evaluation studies, as well as data analysis, report preparation, and scientific writing. She is part of the Applied Economics and Impact Evaluation team at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT.

Her work focuses on Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Impact Assessment (MELIA), with particular expertise in designing studies that integrate both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. She specializes in approaches such as social network analysis and case study design, applying them to understand complex socio-environmental and rural development challenges.

She is currently conducting research on agri-food systems resilience, climate change, biodiversity loss, and gender, with an emphasis on how local organizations and communities co-create innovations and adaptive strategies.

Through her work, she seeks to generate evidence that supports decision-making, strengthens capacities, and contributes to sustainable development and environmental governance in Latin America.
