Anani Ogou

Anani Ogou is Agronomist and Soil Scientist by training (Bsc. & Msc.) and works as a Senior Research Associate, Climate Smart Agriculture & Climate Information Services for the Alliance.

He holds a Msc. Agricultural and Food Value Chains. He has a solid background in Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, and has worked with several international institutions including, International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines (as Junior climate smart Researcher), International Fund for Agricultural Development of the United Nations (IFAD - UN), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO - UN), Department of Agriculture of the Economic Commission of the West African States (ECOWAS).

He worked with the Togo Government (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) before joining Alliance of Bioversity & CIAT in November 2022. His area of expertise is focused on:
i). Climate Smart Agriculture,
ii). Climate Information Services,
iii). Digital Agriculture,
iv). Agriculture and Food Value chains,
v). Climate change adaptation & Mitigation,
vi). Soil science & crop modelling,
vii). Agrobiodiversity,
viii). Gender & Youth Empowerment in Agri-food Sector and,
ix). Climate Change, Peace and Security.
