Abdul-Latif Baamonyor Jizorkuwie
Abdul-Latif Baamonyor Jizorkuwie is a Research Associate working with the Multifunctional Landscapes Team in Ghana. He holds an MSc in Fertilizer Science and Technology from Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (Morocco) and a BSc in Agricultural Technology from the University for Development Studies (Ghana).
Abdul-Latif’s field experience ranges from establishing agronomic trials to leading community-level technology demonstrations. He also contributes to machine-learning initiatives aimed at generating site-specific fertilizer recommendations—part of broader efforts to enable data-driven agricultural decision-making.
His research contributions include developing digital advisory tools, evaluating climate-smart agronomic technologies, advancing fertilization and regenerative farming practices, and conducting national-scale assessments of soil organic carbon in croplands.
Beyond research, Abdul-Latif actively collaborates with national institutions, agricultural extension systems, private-sector partners, and CGIAR centers to design training programs, strengthen capacities, and support the scaling of sustainable agricultural technologies across Northern Ghana. His work contributes to broader efforts to improve nutrient-use efficiency, restore degraded soils, enhance the climate resilience of farming communities, and promote environmental sustainability.
