Recent progress in cassava agronomy research in Thailand
https://hdl.handle.net/10568/80243
Abstract
Cassava agronomy research in Thailand during 1994-1996 emphasized mainly erosion control, soil fertility maintenance and weed control.
Regarding soil erosion control, the planting of cassava in April, at the start of the rainy season, and harvesting in March resulted in the highest soil loss compared with other planting dates. Planting at the start of the dry season in Dec and harvesting in Nov produced by far the highest cassava…

Cassava starch processing at small scale in North Vietnam
International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT)
https://hdl.handle.net/10568/43247
Abstract
In Northern Vietnam, small-scale cassava starch processing is conducted in densely populated craft villages, where processors face difficulties to expand their activities. Three different processing systems were studied among a cluster of three communes in the Red River Delta, producing up to 430 t of starch (at 55% dry matter) per day. The first system, type A…

Abstract

Abstract
Gap analysis is a well-established conservation technique that identifies areas in which selected elements of biodiversity are represented and through comparison with existing in situ protected area networks identifies habitats or ecosystems that need additional protection. We aim to demonstrate that gap analysis may be extended to encompass both in…
