The Alliance at Macfrut 2025: Rimini

The Alliance is pleased to announce its participation at the upcoming Macfrut Fruit & Veg Professional Show, taking place from May 6-8 at the Rimini Expo Centre (Italy). As a leading international platform for the fruit and vegetable sector, Macfrut attracts more than 55,000 visitors annually, bringing together industry leaders in the fruit and vegetable sector to showcase the latest innovations, explore emerging trends, and foster new partnerships.

We are excited to speak at the hybrid event, ‘Agribusiness and Horticulture: Development and Partnership Italy-Africa | Focus on Countries of the Mattei Plan’, taking place on Wednesday, 7 May from 11:00-12:30 CEST in the Meeting Area Business Lounge B4. With Egypt as this year’s focus country, the session will explore strategies for strengthening international cooperation, technology transfer, and innovation ecosystems in emerging markets. We will present AGRITECH4EGYPT: Technological Innovation in AgriFood Sector in Egypt–a 3-year initiative, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) Cairo Office–aimed at empowering farmers and value chain actors through the development, deployment, and adoption of science-based solutions for Egypt’s agriculture. Sharing the stage with AICS Cairo, E4Impact, CIHEAM Bari, and Egypt’s Innovators Support Fund, the session will highlight testimonials from Egyptian agri-tech startups AgriCan and OZ-TECH, finalists of the pilot project AgriTech4Egypt Innovation Challenge 2024.
Macfrut offers a strategic platform to strengthen international cooperation, advance agricultural technologies, and drive sustainable development across food systems.
