Kickoff Event: Introducing RAMP – Research And Market Pathways

How can we turn innovations into market-viable solutions that serve our beneficiaries, maximize impact and generate resources to reinvest in research? Join the Kickoff Event for the new program RAMP – designed exclusively for CGIAR scientists – from the Accelerate for Impact Platform.

RAMP – Research And Market Pathways is an internal accelerator program designed to equip scientists with the skills and support needed to translate scientific discoveries into market-viable solutions that create impact-at-scale.

Who is RAMP for?

CGIAR scientists at all levels – RAMP is a bespoke pathway, each phase; ‘Discover,’ ‘Launch,’ ‘Accelerate;’ tailored to a different stage in a scientist’s journey with their innovation.

Why RAMP?

While CGIAR develops a wealth of innovations with the power to transform food, land, and water systems in a climate crisis, challenges to de-risk and deploy these solutions after a research grant period ends limit their potential. It is time to leverage new strategies – entrepreneurial ventures, social enterprises, charities, strategic licensing models and partnerships – to scale promising innovations and sustain the impact of our research. This approach not only creates new opportunities for value generation but ensures that innovations are demand-driven and sustainable beyond the conceptual research phase.

What to expect in the RAMP Kickoff Event?

This Kickoff Event will present all about the program’s methodology and how to participate. Hear from CGIAR leadership, an innovator’s journey, and the project team Accelerate for Impact Platform and Kindling Ventures about how RAMP will develop CGIAR’s capacity for pursuing market pathways, establish a network of market-facing partners, strengthen our innovation pipeline, and more.
