The Alliance at the Bonn Climate Change Conference SB62

The Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBs) of the UNFCCC will reconvene for their 62nd sessions at the World Conference Center in Bonn, from 16 to 26 June 2025. The conference will help parties and stakeholders advance negotiations on key unresolved issues from previous sessions.

The pre-sessional period (9–15 June) will feature coordination meetings for various groups, such as LDCs (Least Developed Countries), SIDS (Small Island Developing States), and G77: these meetings will prepare delegates for the formal discussions taking place from 16 to 26 June. During the two weeks participants will hold negotiations, workshops, side events and dialogues on key topics, like the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA), the Adaptation Fund, the UAE–Belém workshop on indicators, Finance Working Group meetings, Article 6.8, and loss and damage, paving the way for future negotiations in Belém.

SB62 is open to official delegates from UNFCCC Parties, accredited observer organizations, NGOs, IGOs, academic institutions, and media representatives, all of whom must be registered and accredited through the UNFCCC system.

Alliance’s and CGIAR’s experts will be actively engaging in sessions, including:
