The Alliance @ COP28
The Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host the 28th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 28), bringing together diverse stakeholders and climate experts to scale up solutions for limiting global warming. The event will be held from 30 November to 12 December in Dubai (UAE), and virtually.
About COP28
With 11 thematic days, including on food and water systems, COP28 marks a crucial moment to assess progress under the Paris Agreement and discuss solutions to accelerate climate action. The conference aims to align global efforts, mobilize finance, and strengthen resilience in the face of climate change.
As part of CGIAR, the Alliance has been working with countries and partners, leveraging its expertise on food systems and climate action in the lead up to COP28. This year, we will be present at COP with our scientists at leaders to continue supporting the negotiations and join discussions on food and climate.
