William Felipe Melo Zipacon

William Felipe Melo Zipacon is an agronomist engineer with a Master of Science in Environmental and Development Studies, specializing in agro-environmental research. With 12 years of experience, he has worked extensively in multifunctional agriculture, agroforestry systems, rural development, and climate change adaptation.

Currently, he conducts research on cacao, focusing on cadmium uptake, carbon stocks, deforestation analysis, and landscape studies. In addition, he contributes to rural development projects across Latin America as part of the Multifunctional Landscapes Research Team.

He is also a Ph.D. student in Agro-Environmental Technology for Sustainable Agriculture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain), where he evaluates the impacts of different types of cacao agroforestry systems on landscapes structure and multifunctionality in the Amazon region.
