Stephen Mutuvi

Dr. Stephen Mutuvi has a background in Computer Science and specializes in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning. His work focuses on applying advanced AI techniques to tackle critical global challenges, including food security, healthcare, and climate change.

He currently serves as a Scientist with the Artemis project, where he leads the development of AI and machine learning methods for extracting phenotypic traits to support crop breeding efforts. Dr. Mutuvi is also the Principal Investigator of the NDIZI project (NLP to Develop and Innovate Zero-shot Intelligence), which explores the use of speech technologies and NLP to collect and analyze farmer feedback in resource-constrained settings.
