Peter Bolo

Peter Bolo is a Senior Research Associate under the Multifunctional Landscapes lever at the Alliance of Bioversity International and International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), and currently stationed in Nairobi, Kenya.

Peter has a BSc in Conservation Biology, a Master’s degree in Agroforestry and Rural Development and currently pursuing a PhD in the same area. Currently, working as an agronomist, majorly focusing on soil health dimensions involving the effects of agronomic systems on soil microbial structure, diversity and functions, nutrient cycling enzyme activities, and their potential economic implications. Peter joined the Alliance (then CIAT), in 2016 as an intern, and later as a staff in 2018. Besides having expertise in in-field greenhouse gas collections, Peter can also do laboratory analyses involving assaying of extracellular enzyme activities involved in Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Carbon cycling to inform the soil health perspectives under different agroecosystems.
