Paul Günter Schmidt

A geographer by training, I am working in the nexus between climate data and agronomic decision-making. We are working with local communities and agronomists to facilitate climate-smart solutions that are locally acceptable and help to build up climate resilience strategically. Our scope ranges from in-field activities to farm and household interventions but, especially in coffee and cocoa, involves also multiple interactions and intermediaries along the value chain.

For our data analysis we use mixed methods approaches, whilst for the product design I am guided by a human-centred design approach and tools from business model development.

I hold a B.Sc. from Göttingen University and a M.Sc. from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
