Nga Nguyen

Nga Nguyen is a Senior Research Associate (Statistical Modeller) at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT in Hanoi since 2024, specializing in geospatial analysis and climate data science. Her expertise includes managing complex spatial datasets, applying advanced statistical and machine learning models, and automating data workflows using open-source geospatial tools.
Working with the Data-Driven Sustainability group, she integrates climate sustainability and digital inclusion to ensure data-driven insights translate into practical solutions for resilience and adaptation. She develops models to assess climate risks, monitor the impacts of climate change and extreme weather, and support sustainable practices across diverse regions.
Prior to joining the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, she spent over a decade in academia and industry working on geospatial analysis, environmental monitoring, and climate change impact assessment, building a strong foundation for bridging research and application to ensure scientific findings directly inform policy, planning, and on-the-ground action.
