Namita Joshi

Namita is a Research Specialist with the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, where her work focuses on agricultural adaptation to climate change. Her research applies evidence synthesis and modelling techniques to understand how climate-smart agriculture can build farm resilience to climate stresses and shocks. This work aims to improve the evidence base for decision-making in agricultural biodiversity and climate policy. She holds an M.Sc. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Cape Town, where she specialized in crop and climate modelling, and a Ph.D. focusing on modelling the impacts of climate change on key legume crops in Africa.
