Manh Lam Tuan

Manh Lam Tuan is a Research Associate at the Alliance Bioversity International and CIAT, based in Hanoi, Vietnam. He possesses extensive knowledge and experience in rural and sustainable development. His work focuses on climate information services in the Climate Action Asia Team, where he provides agricultural advisories based on weather forecasts, including technical backstopping that empower farmers to make informed decisions, mitigate crop losses, and enhance farming effectiveness.
Manh is deeply engaged in the direct implementation and scaling of initiatives, working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government authorities at all levels, the private sector, farmers, and others. This collaborative approach has greatly benefited his work in project implementation and management.
Beyond his work in climate services, Manh is also dedicated to advancing cooperative development in Vietnam. He is interested in national programs that support cooperatives and farmers, aiming to foster better development. His team is working to promote agroecological transition practices and advanced farming techniques, with the goal of improving productivity, product quality, value chains, income generation, and the long-term development of local communities.
