Louis Reymondin
Louis Reymondin leads the Data Driven Sustainability research program at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, where he develops solutions to support sustainable food systems. Over the past 20 years at the Alliance, he has specialized in deforestation monitoring, land cover mapping, and environmental monitoring systems used by governments, companies, and international organizations. His current work focuses on building accurate, transparent, and inclusive AI for environmental monitoring through the development of open reference datasets, benchmarking frameworks, and mapping standards. He leads the Sample Earth initiative and works to ensure that digital sustainability systems are scientifically robust while remaining fair and accessible to smallholder farmers.
