Lennart Hientz

Lennart Hientz is an Inclusive Finance Specialist at the Alliance of Bioversity and CIAT (GIZ Integrated Expert) and is part of the CGIAR Hub for Sustainable Finance (ImpactSF). In his current role he works on the development and scaling of solutions that address barriers that hinder capital from flowing into food, land, and water systems. Before joining the Alliance he worked with GIZ in Malawi with a focus on private sector development and innovations in in the agricultural sector. Prior to this he worked with a leading consulting firm on mergers and acquisitions and a leading credit rating agency. Additionally, he worked with a large consulting firm in the strategy and transformation department and supported leading companies of the financial services sector. He holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Services as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business & Management and he is currently based in Nairobi, Kenya.
