Laura Salfi

With a background in sustainable territorial management and international affairs, Laura works at the intersection of international climate policy and research. Currently based in Rome, she previously worked in Paris, in a sustainable innovation consultancy firm supporting EU initiatives such as CLEARING HOUSE, a Horizon 2020 research project focused on nature-based solutions for climate resilience.

Now, within the Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement (PSE) Unit at the Alliance, Laura connects the science produced by the Alliance with countries’ needs and global priorities.

Supported by scientists working across different research areas, including gender, climate, finance, biodiversity and more, Laura maps, shapes and shares advocacy priorities for global and regional engagement. Through the mapping of relevant submissions and meetings, as well as the active participation in global negotiations and events, she builds and reinforces the connections between science-based solutions and international cooperation mechanisms. This helps bring Alliance solutions and results to the world while ensuring that internal research efforts are informed by countries’ key priorities, as well as by opportunities identified through international engagement.
