Kristin Persson

Kristin Persson (formerly Piikki) is a biologist with a PhD in environmental science with specialization in plant physiology from University of Gothenburg.

Her main interests are to increase our understanding how crops are affected by spatially and temporally varying growth conditions, how to measure, map and model these conditions, and how to provide refined spatial and temporal information in an actionable format for crop management.

Kristin works in the Climate Action lever as a Climate and Environmental Data Scientist. In parallel with her employment with The Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, she is a senior lecturer with the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Sweden, where she focuses on precision agriculture and pedometrics.
