Johana Marcela Castillo Rivera

Johana is an economist, specialist in Government and Public Policy, and currently a master’s student in Data Science. Since 2022, she has been a Research Associate at Alliance Bioversity & CIAT, where she has contributed to the design and management of analytical tools focused on food systems and climate change. Her work has included the analysis of food system determinants in Colombia, as well as the mapping of environmental service capacities in the Peruvian and Colombian Amazon, with an emphasis on the supply and demand of climate and environmental information.

Her experience integrates data analysis and processing, scenario modeling, and applied research, with the aim of generating robust evidence to support decision-making in crisis contexts and promote the implementation of more coherent and sustainable public policies.
