Claudia Zaccari
Claudia Zaccari is a Junior Analyst of the Partnerships and Communications unit at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT of CGIAR. As part of the Accelerate for Impact Platform team, Claudia works to bring scientists and the innovation ecosystem closer together to inspire and collaborate through thematic, global, and region-specific innovation challenges. She contributed towards developing a methodology to select and scout science-based innovations in the pre-commercial or conceptual stage addressing sustainable agriculture and climate action, and connect them with CGIAR to maximize delivery and impact.
Claudia has an academic background in international relations and sociology. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Development focusing on sustainable food systems from the University of Edinburgh, and completed her thesis as a work-based project with Traidcraft Exchange to produce a report on smallholder farmers’ participation in agricultural export value chains in East Africa. Prior to working at the Alliance, Claudia worked as project officer with a consultancy start-up specialized in connecting African agribusinesses to European entrepreneurs to open new trade linkages.
