Christopher Egerton-Warburton
Christopher (Edge) Egerton-Warburton is a Founding Partner and Co-CEO of Lion’s Head Global Partners, a London-based merchant bank that provides advisory, financial structuring, and capital raising services, specializing in transactions that impact the Sustainable Development Goals. He is best known for the development of a family of innovative financing vehicles in global health including the International Finance Facility for Immunisation (www.iffim.org), the Global Health Investment Fund (www.ghicfunds.org), CEPI, (www.cepi.net), The Global AMR Investment Fund. Most recently he helped Gavi to develop a support facility for African Vaccine Manufacturers called AVMA. In the agriculture sector, Edge supported the World Bank with the capital raising for the BioCarbon Funds, provided support to the World Bank regarding CGIAR, and worked with the Rockefeller Foundation on the Principles for Agriculture Investment in Africa. For the past 5 years Christopher been the principal financial advisor to the Ministry of Finance of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and is currently supporting the Government of Brazil on the establishment of Tropical Forest Forever Fund (TFFF), one of Brazil’s key focus projects for their presidency of COP30 and a pillar of their G20 work this year.
Prior to establishing Lion’s Head in 2008, Christopher spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs within the Debt Capital Markets group. He holds an MA in biochemistry from Oxford University.
