Charity Juma

Charity Juma is a Research Associate at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, based in Nairobi, Kenya. She contributes to the Adaptation Insights initiative, supporting the synthesis of evidence on agricultural adaptation and resilience across Sub-Saharan Africa.

She holds a Master of Science in Agriculture and Applied Economics from the University of Nairobi. Her work integrates economics, climate adaptation, and data science to strengthen evidence-based decision-making for resilient agrifood systems.

Her research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of climate change adaptation strategies and advancing methodologies for systematic evidence synthesis. She contributes to the development of standardized data management and quality assurance approaches that improve the reliability and accessibility of research evidence. Her interests include agricultural adaptation, resilience measurement, evidence synthesis, research data systems, and artificial intelligence applications for research. Through collaboration she supports the translation of scientific evidence into knowledge that can inform policy, investment, and practice.
