Belay Terefe Mengesha

Belay Terefe Mengesha is a Research Project Coordinator at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He works as a Country Coordinator of the OneCGIAR Sustainable Healthy Diets through Food Systems Transformation (SHiFT) initiative in Ethiopia, where he leads cross-CG centers SHiFT initiative coordination, Food System Transformation engagements with government and non-government organizations, Food System Stakeholder Mapping, Stakeholders Capacity Needs Assessment and Capacity Building Training provision promoting delivery and use of sustainable healthy nutritious foods that ultimately provides economic, social and nutritional benefits to all consumers.
He has MA in Development Economics and over 16 years work experience in Ethiopia, Nigeria, Guyana, and Italy.
