Ana Maria Paez Valencia
Ana Maria is a gender specialist with extensive experience in gender integration and gender research across themes and regions. Her work focuses on the design and implementation of gender-responsive approaches that foster equitable benefits, and the promotion of gender-transformative approaches in the areas of land restoration, food security, resilience, and value chains, among others. She previously worked as a Gender Coordinator at World Agroforestry, and with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations at the Gender, Equity and Rural Employment Division, and she has more than 20 years of experience working with civil society and intergovernmental and governmental organizations on the design, planning, execution and monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
