Ana Fernanda Bueno
Ana is a gender and social inclusion researcher with a Bachelor’s degree in Popular Education and a Master’s in Public Policy. At the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT’s Multifunctional Landscapes team, she focuses on Gender, Equity, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) approaches across different value chains, including cocoa and sustainable livestock. Her work combines participatory methodologies with popular education to develop practical tools and facilitate knowledge exchange between rural women, smallholder farmers, researchers, and policymakers.
With expertise in community engagement, she designs inclusive strategies to integrate GEDSI perspectives into national and regional projects. She develops accessible training materials and participatory diagnostics that empower rural communities while connecting local knowledge with scientific research. Her approach emphasizes practical, on-the-ground solutions to make agricultural innovation more equitable and effective for small-scale producers.
