Alejandra Marín

Alejandra Marín is a Research Specialist with the Tropical Forages Program at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT. She leads projects and initiatives that promote territorial stabilization and inclusive and sustainable economic growth of the cocoa value chain and the dairy value chain in different regions of Colombia.
Her research focuses on the forage quality characteristics and their impact on reducing GHG emissions from cattle and climate-smart cattle ranching practices and technologies for sustainable livestock production.
She obtained a PhD in Agricultural Sciences at The National University of Colombia and a PhD in Animal Sciences at The Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
